[Away from Jilly]

I'd like to make a final push for this weekend. I want to get the gallery done and ready to open on Sunday if possible. If it's not possible, then I'm going to shoot for next Saturday.

Right now, all I've got left to do is the detail work and then getting art to actually hang.

I've got a few of Jilly's pieces, but if anyone else has any they'd like to loan, I'd appreciate it.

Also - hands to help with the clean-up and finishing hanging things and painting over the spots where I slipped and got color on the ceiling.

[there's a pause, as she takes a breath]

I just want her to have something good come from this month and the sooner I can show her -- I think it'll help.

[Jo holds the light with one hand and turns her head to look at the girl]

I'm Jo, and I'm going to say - that's a yes. I just need to finish hanging this and then I'll be right there.

Alright, I'll just look around a bit while you're doing that.

[Smiles and strolls around, taking everything in.]

[She'll finish up rather quickly and move to join Nora]

I really appreciate this, by the way. I think I've gone over these edges a dozen times and each time I just end up with little smudges that shouldn't be there.

[smiles and sets her bag down] I think I can handle that.

So, what kinda art are you going to display, here?

Any of it I guess. I'm not in charge of the art part - I honestly don't know much about it, but there are a lot of residents that do art.

Jilly, she teaches a class for the kids and then a few of the people at the castle do it as a hobby.

[Nods] Yeah, I met her once. I do a lot of art, myself.

Really? You're welcome to put something in the gallery if you want. I know not everyone is big into the 'on display' thing, but you're welcome to some space. Just talk to Sophie. She's going to be running this place.

Maybe. I dunno. It's never been my style, before, but then again, neither has wishing for things and living in a castle.

[She smiles, glancing over at her and trying to get the bit of paint off the heel of her hand.]

I gave up on living in the castle. I also try not to wish for things, but sometimes it can't be avoided.

So. Paint. I'll just let you pick out a brush and then show you were all the colors are. [starts to lead the way]

You live out here? I didn't know you could do that. [she follows]

[shows her the brushes and the paint cans]

Oh, you can leave the castle. It'll kind nag at you the further out you go, and when it does crazy shit you'll still wake up in your old room there, but you can live out in the city.

I had a small one bedroom studio apartment for a while. Still do, actually, but I had friends always staying over. So I needed a bigger place. It was either build one or find one.

[she shrugs] I found one.

[starts sorting through the paint brushes, picking out a couple and tucking them in a pocket of her skirt]

That's really funky. I don't know. I guess I'd like to get away from the castle... but my boyfriend's there. And it's not like I have any money to pay rent or buy food or whatever.

[Jo smiles at her]

Sometimes it helps to have a place to go when you don't want to be found, Nora. [She'll reach into the jar on the counter and fish out the keys.]

Here. These are the keys to my apartment. Take it for the weekend. It's paid up for the year, since I'm a bit OCD and I needed to make sure I was taken care of even if I was a lamp or a dog. If you want to stay there ever? You're welcome to.

Of course, seriously. I mean, it's just sitting there now and the idea of trying to find someone to stay there? [she shrugs]

I already have too many things to handle.
