[Away from Jilly]

I'd like to make a final push for this weekend. I want to get the gallery done and ready to open on Sunday if possible. If it's not possible, then I'm going to shoot for next Saturday.

Right now, all I've got left to do is the detail work and then getting art to actually hang.

I've got a few of Jilly's pieces, but if anyone else has any they'd like to loan, I'd appreciate it.

Also - hands to help with the clean-up and finishing hanging things and painting over the spots where I slipped and got color on the ceiling.

[there's a pause, as she takes a breath]

I just want her to have something good come from this month and the sooner I can show her -- I think it'll help.

[He waved a hand to indicate gift, or perhaps contribution, the subtleties of hand waving as a language were not one he had particularly mastered.

Miracle use on buildings was highly uncommon, mostly for the amount of paperwork required to get an approval; but, Aziraphale thought guiltily, it wasn't as though there was any way for him to actually apply for said paperwork at the moment...

With a small effort of will, the very building itself gained a glow of warmth. Of happy times and laughter, of contentment and safety.]

[Jo watches for a moment, a bit confused as to what he's doing, but once he does it, she can't help but smile. It's amazing, though she's hoping it just applies to the gallery part... not her house which is attached at the back. Having that always feel this way would probably wear on her a bit.]

That's amazing. How did you do that?

[No, it's just the gallery, but it will last at least a few decades.]

Just a small miracle.

[Jo smiled, taking it in for a moment before she looked at him, almost a bit emotional over it]

To be honest, I'd given up on miracles. [She exhales, slowly, then nods] Thank you. Sincerely. That made all the difference, it just... it feels right.

Given up on miracles? [He gives her an almost fatherly look of concern.]

[She lets out a small breath, dropping her shoulders.]

Where I'm from there's a bit of a war going on and it doesn't make things easy to believe in much of anything.

[Resting a hand on her shoulder gently, he squeezed once.]

No matter how bleak things may seem, you must never lose hope. You may find miracles in the most unlikely of places.

[She takes comfort in that gesture and nods, not exactly wanting to just tell him that she's already dead back home.]

[It was rare he got a thanks for the good he did, and it made a warm smile split his face and his chest puff out in pride.]

[Jo grinned, moving to give him half of a hug. It was the sort that was mostly her leaning in and wrapping an arm around him. Just one arm. Hence the half a hug.]

Well, I already mentioned it and I meant it too. I know this'll mean a lot to people here.

[Oh goodness! Aziraphale was not used to hugs, and as such settled for patting her kindly on the shoulder.]

[Well, he should be grateful that it was just half a hug then, because a full one might have overwhelmed him.]

I'll make sure to let you know when the opening is. It'll either be this coming weekend or if things end up getting busy maybe the first weekend in May.
