[Away from Jilly]
Alright, so despite a bit of a hiccup in the planning, I've gotten most of the work that I can do on my own done for the gallery.
Those listening to this and unsure what I'm talking about? As a surprise, emphasis there please, folks, for Jilly, I'm building her an art gallery. It'll be for any artists in the castle to use, but I know she's got her classes and her own art, so she inspired me to do this.
I've had some help along the way. Eliot took a look at the wiring for me and then I went and replaced any of the bad drywall. I've patched the small holes and painted before I put up the hardware. Switchplates and that sort'v thing.
Right now, my big concern is figuring out the lighting.
I figure track lighting would be good. More flexibility.
[exhales] Anyone a big expert on these things? Anyone interested in learning how to be an expert in them?

[And then this with the air of someone about to amputate their own leg. Without anaesthetic.]
A book.

Oh... wow, that's... well, that's old. I don't think I have a proper place for it yet. I don't want it to get ruined. [hmmmm]
I have a wooden box, maybe we can place it in there until I can find a good place for it. [afraid to touch it... it might fall apart if she holds it wrong]

No?

I don't have a glass case.

[Or forever.]

What if it's only in the wooden box for a day or two? I can promise no damp, moths, or termites will get to it.

[thinks some more]
How about a plastic bag? I'm sure I have one around here.

One of the lesser known exceptions to this rule was what happened when a twelfth century book was threatened with being relegated to a plastic bag.1
The angel in question turned a rather interesting shade of puce2, and clutched his chest with a look that can only be accurately described as Horrified.]
P...lastic bag?
1. Admittedly, this rule only applied to a certain angel called Aziraphale. Making it more of a sub-clause than an actual rule of its own.
2. You know the shade. Exactly as Auntie Margaret used on her knitted lumpy tea cosy.
threadjack!
Well, there's a Bentley outside so that answers that question. In the way they've got over the millennia, the demon intuitively knows when Something Is Up With The Angel. He pauses by Aziraphale, looks at him, then looks at Jo]
You want to put one of his books in a baggie, don't you?
no subject
Oh... oh, I just - I didn't know. I'm sorry, no baggie, no box -- he can take the book and help me figure out a glass case for it.

[Much in the same way an old LP could get caught repeating a scratched groove, so Aziraphale was similarly frozen.]

[He waves a hand in front of Aziraphale's face, then turns back to Jo] He'll be Away for a while.

I'm sorry, I didn't know... he offered to give a book and ... I'm sorry. [geeeze, the guy's nearly catatonic]
no subject
...I think I need to sit down, my dear.

He's just a bit weird when it comes to books is all.
no subject
Really, I had no idea. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause you this sort of distress.
