And, of course, the kiss with Liadrin. All instances of contact that were directly influenced--forced--by the castle's whim. His already agitated expression darkens as he thinks over these events, and he grumbles, unaware of his open journal.]

Why are you so bothered by the idea of spellcasting?

I'm not! It's just that Witches and Supporters are really different...

Ugh.... This is the millionth time I've explained this.

Basically Witches are the ones who produce Mana and use it as magic. It's only women who are able to produce a source of Mana and possess enough resistance handle it. Supporters are objects or things that a Witch gives her Mana to in order for them to become string and fight. Even just a tiny bit of Mana given to a compatible Supporter makes them incredibly strong, magnifying a Witch's own powers since they're able to do more.

"The power of a Witch is that of their Supporter".

You work with a witch, then.

....No. But a Witch did make me... I worked with a WH--Witch Hunter who was just a regular human.
