[Those patronizing Caritas this evening might find an elf sitting moodily at the bar, self-medicating with tumbler after tumbler of booze--largely scotch and rum. He's thinking about the course of his existence as it's so far gone in this place. The kiss with Vereesa. Her marriage proposal. The weird hair-petting thing with Alleria. And, of course, the kiss with Liadrin. All instances of contact that were directly influenced--forced--by the castle's whim. His already agitated expression darkens as he thinks over these events, and he grumbles, unaware of his open journal.]

Light damn this wretched place.

[A moment later, he realizes that the thing is open and speaks more directly into it.]

Some time ago, I was given a pupil to instruct. It seems that the boy in question was sent home. Thus, if any of you would like weapons training and are in need of a teacher, let me know. I have expertise in the majority of melee weapons, particularly the broadsword. My name is Koltira Deathweaver, for your reference.

I was quite sane, thank you very much. Exhaustion did not incapacitate me beyond the realm of the physical. [This is said very matter-of-factly, because she is VERY sane and doesn't like that being brought into question.]

I did not plan on making you watch anything. I was about to lock myself away when that...incident occurred. It was not the correct choice, I know that now, but still...it does not change the fact that I knew full well what was going on and how I felt at the time.

What is it that you want, Koltira? [Her eyes slide up to meet his, remaining right where she is because it makes her feel content to be so close. Perhaps because the magic he shares almost feels binding in a way, and perhaps even more so because she cares and worries for him, and feels that her touch is all that keeps him calm these days.
