(no subject)

[filtered away from children kidnapped or otherwise, Slenderman, and anyone exploiting the situation]

[two pages are highlighted: #, and then #; the priest's voice is quiet and gentle]

...The entries currently unearthed skip from 23 to 28 with nothing yet in between. The last known plan the previous victims of 'Slenderman' had were to offer up a human... sacrifice. The end result was the safe return of at least one child -- Deema. There's also-- this.

[he shifts, where he's staring at the blood-soaked tree whose line creeps higher and higher every time he blinks -- or maybe it's his imagination. his mind playing tricks on him, at this point, is not at all beyond the scope of the realistic]

Time is... running out.

[ooc: open for journal or the CREEPY BLOOD TREE if you're lurking]

I am going to focus on Slenderman's abilites for a moment.

He can take children without being seen by adults. Visible to only children and camaras. However, it is interfering with my eyes but this may be due to keeping my powers suppressed. It is strong enough to block people from going to the Dead Zone, which is on level with Paradisa itself. Paradisa may not be involved with the creation of Slenderman.

This tree, 'blood tree' is a physical hook in our world....immune to my fire and other attempts to uproot it. It is as strong as Slenderman itself is.

[Kite taps his foot against the ground.]

I can understand that, to a degree. That may be 'Slenderman's World' while this tree is his 'gate' to ours. If this tree is truly his 'gate' into this world then it would make sense to make it strong enough to withstand our attempts to destroy it when the children start to go missing. It is like my own body, in a sense. Like I can survive having my limbs removed, this tree can survive fire until all the children are captured.

Can the ground be affected?

I would like to test something, if you do not mind Abel.

[Kite moves far away from Abel but still close to the tree. Putting his fire powers to max, he forms two fireballs in his hands and throws them at the ground with a loud explosion of azure flames and dirt. He keeps at this for awhile until the flames burn out.]

Did that work? And if anything hit you, I am sorry.

Ah, I'm sorry. [now may be the time to realize why Kite's title is 'Kite of the Azure Flame'.]

But if the ground can be effected, maybe we can go under.

Mmmm...having the Azure Flame God would be good for this. But if this tree is the hook and Slenderman's world is truly under our feet, we could dig our way down.
