[ Bruce has, somewhat predictably, been hiding out in his room all day today. Towards the evening, though, he ventures into town. He doesn't do any window shopping and in fact he looks a little peeved as he makes a bee-line for a flower shop, purchases something and then heads back to the castle.

From there he goes right up to the roof to sit on the ledge and watch the sun setting over the horizon. He doesn't move for a very long time, instead just sitting there and thinking, gently cradling two white roses in his hands.

Bother him if you like, but saying he's not one for conversation at the moment would be an understatement. ]

[ there is a Barbara coming up behind him and just sitting down beside him. she doesn't really... say anything. just sits there with a small box and two roses in her hands

[ he doesn't do anything for a long time, but after a while he looks at the box out of the corner of his eye. cue a very small curious head-tilt. ]

[there is a very bizarre looking loli sitting up on the roof ledge sipping tea nearby 8) she'll be glancing over at him after a little bit and ... staring. someone looks like an angst muffin tonight and it's not her :(]

[ sorry, bizarre looking loli. he's not paying much attention to other people right now. well. he is but he's not showing it. because that would mean there's a bigger chance of him actually having to talk to someone instead of angsting and then going to beat the crap out of either purse-snatchers or a punching bag. 8(

[Stealth check! Simon fails! There's a brief flash of light, and shortly after that, Simon is sitting nearby. Not too close though...the stranger has an odd feeling about him. Not unfriendly, but not very welcoming either.]

...they're pretty here. I never saw many at home.

[Damian's sort of played the avoid-people-who-can-be-avoided game for the past few days, but he'll chance a meeting with his father. When he sees him, he kind of lurks in the background for a moment, but he eventually finds his voice.]

[It's not his Bruce and what with the whole different universe thing, the date could be different too, but Jason felt compelled to find Bruce anyway.

And he has a pretty good idea where to look.

So here Bruce, have Jay with a thermos and two mugs come sit by your side without a word.]

[ Bruce glances over at Jason briefly before pouring what's in the thermos into the mugs. And then he's silent for a good, long time.

This... isn't something he'd expected Jason to do. What with the whole alternate universe making things a little awkward between them. But it's touching.

And it reminds him of something. Now may not be the best time to bring it up, but it's better than letting it sit longer. ]

There's... something I've been meaning to give you at some point, but wasn't sure how or when to do it. Remind me later and I'll show you it.
