So what, pray tell, is the next godforsaken holiday on the castle's calender. I feel I should be keeping on my toes...

[Which he is, in this case literally, as he reaches up for some tea on a high shelf in the kitchen. Making tea is a harder than normal process when injured. He places the tea on the counter and runs a hand through his slightly curly red hair, which is loose and wild about his shoulders, since tying it back requires more than one hand. Now, where was that tea kettle?]

Are you asking me to make him love you? Because barring that, I'm not exactly an expert on the subject of human loss.

NO. [He sounds absolutely horrified by that idea] I mean, no, that's not what I want. I just...

[There is a pause as he sighs heavily] I've never really courted anyone. Not that men of my tastes ever have need to, of course. I've seduced plenty of people, but I've never done...this.

[He really doesn't get you mortals. You want love--in this case you specifically come to him asking for help, but for whatever reason the idea of him using his arrows to deliver an unwavering love is always out of the question. So fickle]

Most mortals are fond of receiving gifts. Maybe you should start there.

It's a start, anyway. Poetry is also big with mortals who court their loved ones where I'm from.

Do you know anything about the world he comes from? What he likes?

I do. His world is lush and warm...semi-tropical I think...thus why he seems to favor warmer climates and bright flowers. He loves sweets, almost to exclusion of all other food groups. He enjoys being outside, though that's difficult in the current weather...and horseback riding. He also likes to read. And he's an excellent dancer.

Just because I know about him doesn't mean I know what to do with that information...at least in terms of convincing him to step beyond the borders of our friendship.

[Sigh. You mortals really can't find love without his help, can you? Don't worry, Felix--this is actually a good thing. Cupid has been feeling pretty useless after he was scolded for shooting people with his arrows. His ego likes to know that he's still needed in some capacity or another]

You know what he likes. Why don't you try spending a day with him in the castle's sunshine room? From what I can tell, that place is a tropical beach every other day. At least that way, you'll be "outside" in a setting that he enjoys--even if the weather outside of the castle itself is less than desirable.

Have a gift basket with sweets sent up afterward and let him know how much you enjoyed the time you got to spend together. Once the snow clears up, you can always ride the horses in the stables. I also hear there are a number of places to go and dance in town. If that doesn't drop a hint then I'm not sure what will.
