[ But, it could have been avoided. If she'd died like she was supposed to, the circumstances would have been different entirely. Sam and the others wouldn't have been kidnapped. The wave of heroes wouldn't have needed to save the day when Jono's heart destroyed the heart, they could have had more time. Akihiko wouldn't have needed to --

Or if she'd actually been useful enough to do something instead of getting kidnapped in the first place. She saw the amulet, she should have just grabbed it and run. All of the endless possibilities of how she might have made a difference raced through her head and she couldn't seem to find a way to block them out. ]

He shouldn't have needed to run off and be the hero. Tim, I want to see him. Please. I have to see him.

Hnnn life is so hard and she's trying really hard to pretend that she doesn't sound as upset and teary as she is, but it's impossible to sound like you're not crying when you are. ]

Tim, I'm sorry. I know you guys are -- [ close seems like a cheap word. With as much as Akihiko talked about Tim, that was the kind of friendship that people just didn't try to put to words. ] If it weren't for me, he'd still be here. I should be the one spending two weeks in limbo.
