[GUESS WHO. It's been far too long Abel. No, really. A whole week oh wow. And he's not wearing a hakama anymore. Cry about it.

You really don't think anything can be done to change it?

Well...

Maybe in the long-term, we'll be able to effect things around here. But for the moment, we're as much in the dark as ever.

People don't seem to be trying terribly hard to change it though. There are the occasional requests for a police force or the creation of a shop or bar...

But for the most part, they seem pretty content to just sit back and watch things. Someone has to at least try to find a lead.

People have tried to puzzle out the mysteries of this world - but I'm sure you can recall the incident with the spiders in the dead zone.

Those were the fruits of their last efforts.

I suppose that might ward a few people away... Such a shame really.

Mm, before that was another attack out past the barrier as well, with an Apothecary some people nicknamed the "plague doctor..." He said red-heads were infected with some sort of disease, and....

I don't know. Nothing went very well out there.

What happened with the Plague Doctor?

As far as I know, the residents were saved by someone with a mysterious suit similar to the one Mr. Stark uses, which is strange... as technology doesn't function beyond the barrier.

How are things going with Miss Lilith?

No... without their abilities, pursuing someone like that was night impossible, I'd imagine.

To be honest, overworking herself. Things have been crazy in the clinic ever since the world change...

I wonder if there'd be any way to draw them out again.

Isn't there other people that work in the clinic? I don't suppose you can just... drag her out one day? Or is forced hooky looked down on here?

It isn't like I haven't tried! She's a particularly stubborn woman... [huffs...] It takes all too much work just to convince her to rest every now and then.
