♛ A Festival Idea
[Hearing Suleyman tell him of his time as a child had awakened feelings of homesickness in him. With the weather as it was outside and the time of year, Summer, his mind constantly drifted back to the halls of his palace and the great trees and bushes in full bloom with the brilliant, glowing red flowers that bloomed about now for only a month and were the center of a massive festival that centered its theme around luck and love: a good time for weddings and engagements and births.
And low and behold Abel and Lilith were now engaged! It such a joyous thing, an engagement and impending wedding. It made Ashura think the castle needed more of that after everything that had happened, and he had an urge to indulge himself in celebrating his people's festival, which he usually presided over anyways.
He'd been reading enough romance novels to understand the concept of a 'date', and indeed there were contests during the festival to determine what man would get what passed as a 'date' in his world with a lucky, chosen maiden - usually the prettiest in one village or another. But that seemed a bit unfair, so why not try a different tact instead, one that gave everyone - hopefully - a chance towin their desired match and cause less stress than some strong-lifting or running competition.
So, everyone in the castle, when they next opened their journals, would see elegant hand writing with the following proclamation: ]
~ Fire-Flower Festival Date Auction ~
Handsome young men all over Paradisa, sign up for this chance to have the ladies win your hand for a single night!
Ladies, wanting a date with a man but don't know how to approach him? Sign him up and win his hand!
Come one, come all!
Help celebrate a season of love and luck and join up!
* Proceeds will go to charity *
