Has there ever been a wedding here before? The people in the city get married but since I've been here I've never once seen any of the residents get married. Isn't that great though? Having someone you love. It's so romantic~

Even if that's what happened to them, there's no way for us to know. And the castle had already demonstrated a lack of power to influence all of us simultaneously... even if it slims our numbers. It might not be able to repeat history...

It's strange... you'd think the regular people like us would have been influenced first but it was all the stronger people. Maybe it wore itself out trying to brainwash them all?

It might have been. That we had enough sense to take people to the Dead Zone [Esther pistol-whipping him and dragging him out there comes to mind] and disperse the effects, as well as the 'weaker' residents managing to split the castle's attention by taking it down brick by brick...

I think it underestimated us.

I'm glad... it did. I don't know what I would've done if everyone I knew had suddenly become convinced they were always here.

It took a long time... Some of the faster residents with speed-influencing powers helped take people past the Dead Zone to test its effects, and others stayed behind with their heavy machinery and weaponry to tackle the castle. I heard it went down in a couple hours, actually...

[ah, Uru ;;] ...That's why I worry for the townspeople. But if they were residents, once, and the castle brainwashed them to think as they do now... why wouldn't it bring them back after death? It must have gone to great amounts of effort to make them believe they've always lived here. It seems... silly, to be so careless with their lives...

It is a big place... maybe somewhere out there, there's another castle? Or somewhere where they came from.

I can never tell if they're being honest or not when I ask questions. The castle does terrible things sometimes, it could be they live in fear of that?

They're all regular humans, right?

Most of the residents seem unaware. ...Though I doubt it's crime native to the town that's causing these deaths... [meaning, residents from the castle 8( and he knows Lambdadelta is responsible for a good chunk of them, but can't exactly say that hgggrrrgghhh]

...I'd like to do something for them. It seems... silly, that so many people who are involved in doing good in their worlds are clueless to the good we can do here in Paradisa. Maybe create a bridge of sorts wherein we work together to make this world safer for them - and us.

Caterina is good at the politics of this sort of thing, so... I might approach her. And I'm sure there are others with those kind of skills that will help open up lines of communication between us and the townspeople so they can call on us more easily if trouble is brewing.

That sounds like a good idea! I'm not sure how I can help but I'd like to, because even if they're in the town, we're all living in the same world. If we want them to care about us, we need to care about them. [ nods ]

It's not silly in the least. There's a strange gap between us, I don't get it but I'd like for everyone to start understanding one another here.
