A-Ah... Mister Charlie?

[Out by the duck pond, this kid throwing bread to the ducks. She happens to be... Well, as deep in thought as a kid her age can get. Also she can't throw very well, so the bread is kinda going everywhere. Oh well. ]

[She nods] I've had him for a long time. We would go for walks everyday in the afternoon and Miss Sakaki would come too sometimes. At night he would sleep in my room and he made it easier for me to get around if I got tired...

[And Charlie is just... silent for a bit. Then he glances out to town]

Have you thought about getting another dog while you're here?

I've thought about it but I was hoping Mister Tadakichi would have shown up by now...

[Continues to look... confused... before wandering back over]

I know... But I've been here a while and he still isn't here yet. [Gives him another sad smile because MAN HER DOG. HER DOG.] But it's ok!

[STARES. DROP. WHAT IS THIS DROP YOU SPEAK OF]
