I have heard of the castle swapping bodies and genders because of that, but... do you think your gaining it may have been an additional "loss" of some kind?

No, no...the castle didn't give it to me. It's more complicated than that, but yeah it did smart a bit. Ever had a pair of eyes grow out of your forehead kiddo? It's not that fun.

No...but it makes it more fun that way. Only some people know the real reason behind it, and I want to keep it that way.

So if it seems like I'm not, it's just because I'm stronger than most of the regular guys. [and he refrained from saying "you regular guys" because Mr. Bedninja is noooot a regular guy by any means]

Is that so? ...it would at least explain why I had some trouble telling the difference. At first glance you appeared very human, but at the same time something was off. I had quite a bit of difficulty trying to figure out what.

Yes, I suppose that would not be an entirely inaccurate way to describe it. I see things a bit differently than humans do.

I am afraid describing it would be a bit difficult... I just see things that humans do not. But it has always been like that for me, so explaining the differences is not very easy.

[a brief, thoughtful pause.] The only metaphor I can think of is that the rest of the world sees in black and white, and I see in color. But even then, I do not know if that is very accurate.

A little while back a man I met through the journals asked me several questions about myself, but I do not believe he said he was curious. And no one else has really said so, either.

That's common sense among most people. They won't ask questions unless they want to know more.

That is true, but there is quite a lot I do not know about people or the world. I find I tend to ask most people more questions than they typically ask in return.

I like finding out new things-- in the past I did not necessarily need to nor did I have the opportunity, so I find myself somewhat fond of being able to do so now. Humans are very interesting, after all.
