[the entry is dictated, and the muffled sound of people talking in the background is transcribed]
I know Luis explained to a few of you, but I figured I'd answer some questions now that I'm not being stabbed with a pitchfork.
Those things outside of the castle are people infected with the Las Plagas parasite. They're not zombies, and you won't become one of them if they bite you. Yet they're still powerful and will not hesitate to swarm you or rip you apart. So it's in your best interest to stay away from them.
If you do happen to come across one, shoot out their legs and run. If running is not an option, aim for the head. There's a chance that you'll be met with the parasite itself, but it's rare. They're sensitive to bright lights--use that to your advantage.
I don't know how they got here, but we'll be fine as long as we stay inside and they stay out. Don't try to play hero. I'm not in the mood to save anyone.
If anyone needs me, I'll be staying on the first floor.
This seems a little familiar, doesn't it...
