The flesh gives shape to the soul. I know this better than anyone. How a human or other such being understands the world is different from something larger. How much can the soul handle being reshaped? Especially against it's own will? Does will even exist outside of basic instinct? What happens when instinct is stripped away? What is left? Nothing? Some of the Lilim would call this enlightenment, but I can only think of it as a type of dreamless coma...
