Those frog-like corpses we found are called Trevors. Browne's got no clue what would be killing them. She also says there used to be boars around this area, but they were freaking...tiny. Like really adorable 'Awww, can I keep it?' tiny.

Since she said boars as in plural, we had better be damn careful today. Who knows what the others've mutated into. We might have some weird kind of...necromancy on our hands.

[It's been a crazy day. The groups have met up in a "clearing", and between them they've come up with enough rope and wire to string the boats together in a little fleet. It won't be a fantastically comfortable night, but it's much-needed rest.

With the glow of the swamp and the spiderlings' songs from the canopies of spiderwebs in the trees, who can say how much any will sleep tonight?


We know that Group 4 is still wrapping up their fight, but it's getting late and we need to get this post up. Have at, people.

The journal's flung open accidentally as a frustrated Subaru sits in the sixth floor hallway, working through a pile of books he'd brought up from the library. It's an odd combination of literature, to be sure; technical books on magic and/or science from as many different places as he could find.

He's flipping through things, scribbling away on another piece of paper, and... muttering angrily. He's not crazy, honest!]

[The library is not the ordered place it had been in previous days; there are about a hundred books strewn over three tables that have been pushed together. Several empty whiskey bottles are buried in the trash, and there's a faint smell of it on the man pacing by the pile of books. Shirt sleeves rolled up, and glasses pushed high on the bridge of his nose, Wesley scanned yet another of the books and discarded it, finally dictating to the journal.]

There have been countless myths and legends concerning spiders; but from the African legends of Anansi, to the Japanese Tsuchigumo, they are most popularly seen as tricksters and weavers of illusion.

While the castle may be attempting to create an interpretation of the Goddess Neith, it would be wise to remember that this sentient dimension can only weave our destinies as long as we allow it to.

[There's a pause as he consults another book, skimming the Egyptian text and turning the page carefully to avoid it crumbling to dust.]

Anyone with any information on both the spiders that were in the castle until recently, or any myth or legend surrounding arachnids in general, I would be grateful to hear from you. Thank you.
