The puppy's name

No, little puppy. That isn't for eating.
I too have found one of the puppies at my doorstep. The castle gave me many books to help me. It is called a dalmation and the books say that they are very good guard dogs and are full of energy. I suppose that's a good thing in a big castle with lots of room to run in.
The puppy doesn't have a name yet. My friends are probably better with naming things than I am, but I think I'll give it a try. [a thoughtful pause interrupted by doglike snuffling]
