What: A small Christmas gathering

Felix had thrown his fair share of soirées back in the Mirador. They were a fairly regular occurrence - useful for maintaining the so-called friendships and allies he ironically used to keep the rest of the world at a distance, and even more useful for making new ones.
It was hard to explain it, but at times he had an almost physical need to be surrounded by people, like an addiction that no one bothered to scold him for because they benefited from it. After all, it never hurt to be associated with the most powerful wizard there, except when he made a scandal of himself, at which point everyone casually distanced themselves from him. He never really even minded that much.
But this was different. There was no political machinations or ulterior motives, except his undying need for company. Just a bizarre collection of friends and acquaintances sharing a holiday that barely any of them actually celebrated in a place hardly any of them belonged. Which is why it felt so important for it to happen.
