It was cold, which Spike should have expected. Apparently it hadn't registered with him early enough to bring a heavier coat and any warmth he'd carried with him from the bar didn't last nearly long enough. A mild breeze was all it took to instigate a barely controlled shiver. Still, it was quiet, so he could tolerate it for a while.
