Kallen laughed a little and elbowed him in the side to get his attention, more than mildly amused by the expression on his face. Times like this made her enjoy her stay in the castle, if only because she could see different sides of those she had come to call her friends. Childlike joy, for one.

Granted, Rookie was normally smiling, but she was learning how to differentiate between the types he used. More and more she saw him with the laid back and comfortable smile that indicated he was somewhat eat ease. It was something that she enjoyed for whatever reason.

When she had his attention, she grinned and nodded to a wreath covered in little, round green lights that twinkled every so often.

"Not used to stuff like this I guess. You should see the tree in the lobby if you haven't already. It's pretty amazing."
