Ray's face is a picture of absolutely genuine shock and sorrow, the moment he hears that. He's got an almost irrepressible urge to hug Danny, but given the current situation, he's pretty sure that wouldn't go so well.

"Oh, Danny, I ... I'm so sorry. That -- that's terrible. How did -- well, I guess what's more important first is what happened?"
