Jo nodded, trying to put it all together. It wasn't difficult, but she also was pretty sure she didn't want to know all the details.
"She's still here, Spike. If she was that upset she'd have left when she saw you were here."
She didn't want to pry more, she didn't really want to make him talk about things he wasn't comfortable talking about. "I won't press, Spike, but I am a friend, if you want to talk -- you know I'll listen. Right now though, I'll head back inside. Just - don't wade through the leaves. You can still stay here tonight."
Her hand patted to his elbow, giving it a light squeeze before she turned and moved to go back inside.
