Who: Clark +
What: Stuck In An Elevator round 2
When: Wednesday night
Where: Elevator
Rating: PG-13?
Notes: The doors will be magically super-duper-glued shut and sealed, and your journals will poof away to your rooms. Good luck, fools, you aren't getting out until dawn. NO ORDER, just keep it in one comment chain for the main event. Just refresh before you comment in case someone beat you to it. Aaaaand if you wanna start other threads for later when the initial "OMG WAT" is over... that's cool too 8)

Clark glanced up at the numbers, watching them light up one by one, successfully resisting the urge to hum along to the elevator music. He didn't even know the right tune; it was just one of those earworms programmed into everyone's brain. Standard elevator jingle.

Humming in front of the other elevator patrons would be a bit embarrassing, especially since the elevator was so oddly full.

... and then it stopped.

He frowned and crossed his arms carefully to keep from nudging anyone standing too close.

"This isn't the first time the power's gone out. There was a short power outage a month ago." He said.

Ted made a sound of annoyance, scratching his head as he glanced around the crowded elevator, and took in all the people. Interesting bunch. And it seemed like they were all going to be stuck together for a really, really long time.

He sighed, then turned to his friend, rolling his eyes.

"You forget, Booster," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice, "that you have to wish for it to start working again. I mean, that's what it wants, right?"

Ignoring the conversations around him, Sora pokes at the buttons experimentally. "Huh. You know, all it might need is a couple of good whacks." It worked for him more than once.

Sora started pounding the buttons with both open hands for all his worth.

[identity profile] bonerforglory.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Booster stared at Sora, before giving Ted a knowing a smile.

Someone might think he had something up his sleeve.

"I don't have my journal! Who needs it anyway? Does anyone have a cell phone?"

"Maybe it thinks it's funnier to let us stew for awhile." Spanner grumbled under his breath, sitting down cross-legged in the little space he'd made for himself in the corner. Sure, it might push people closer together, but he wasn't going to spend the whole time standing around feeling awkward.

No, instead he'd just pull a tiny robot, barely bigger than his hand, out of one pocket and begin to poke at the inside of it with an equally tiny screwdriver.

Cloud would facepalm if he didn't look so ridiculous doing such. So many people here. Jin was amongst them. This wasn't his idea of getting back in touch with the major. He'd likely hold it off for now until things were back to normal.

Looking over to Sora from where he was leaning and keeping to himself, he gave a blank look. There wasn't much else he could do anyway.

"Hah. We don't get reception in elevators, smart guy -- " Ted said, suddenly distracted, thanks to the kid punching all the elevator buttons.

Making a strangled noise, he pushed his way to Sora, raising his hands and flailing. Well, as far as flailing went in a crowded space.

"Hey, kid -- noooooot a good idea!"

Great. This was turning out to be a wonderful night. Really, it was. The one time she didn't have her journal with her, and this was what happened. Moonbay couldn't help but grumble a little.

She decided she'd leave the short, kicking kid to someone else. Patience was not with her tonight.

Hand snagged and in most ways otherwise subdued, Sora looked up at the perpetrator and pulled a face. "You sure? I mean, I know I'm not good with technical stuff, but I fixed a computer this way, this one time!"

[identity profile] brbfisting.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Rolling his eyes at Sora's attempts at the buttons, Akihiko leaned back on the wall. This wasn't the time to be lashing out, if that's what that kid was doing.

"And if you end up breaking them what good will that do?" he looked over the guy who had asked if anyone had their journals with them. "Don't have mine either," he said. "Think we can just pry the doors open?"

[identity profile] bonerforglory.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Booster took a seat on the floor, letting his head fall back against the wall.

"Someone wake me up when we get to the kitchen." And with that, closed his eyes.

[identity profile] bonerforscience.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Ted groaned, rubbing his face with both hands.

"Anyone with super-strength in this elevator?" He glanced pointedly between his fingers down at Booster, then quickly back up at Clark.

"Anyone?"

There were stronger people in the elevator. Namely Clark. He was a bit pre-occupied with his own thoughts too.

The situation angered the Major enough, though his face didn't display anything but calmness, but being stuck in here without Yukianesa just made things worse. He had her when he came on, but she vanished when this happened.

Jin's eyes traced over to Sora before they narrowed, another low growl escaping his throat. To be stuck with all of this filth (according to him), that wouldn't even stay quiet, in such close quarters tested his patience greatly. The only one he'd want to be in such close quarters with was his brother.

He shoved his way to the back of the elevator to lean against the wall, his eyes rolling. "If the claims of were true of this castle being magic," He spoke, the last word laced with sarcasm, "Then shouldn't it have fixed itself?"

[identity profile] givingchase.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
Sora shrugged. "If it's this broke, there's no way it could get any more broke, right?" Ducking under the other guy's flailing arms, he gave the buttons one last experimental poke before backing off a little. He didn't really know what he was doing anyway.

"Maybe the castle's just grumpy today! HEY CASTLE!" he yelled suddenly, "Could you stop with Cloud's boxes, first? They're kinda making things smaller in here!"

[identity profile] herwaltz.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Plopping down next to Spanner, Moonbay leaned against the wall, eyes on the group by the door. Something about a resident with super strength really didn't surprise her anymore.

"Go for it."

[identity profile] brbfisting.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
He tried not to pay the block-y guy much attention though his eyes lingered on him for a moment, then up to the box hovering over him. Akihiko dipped underneath the box (were those text bubbles?) to get himself closer to the door.

"Can you really?" he remembered what Claire had said about the people of Paradisa and although he had yet to see something like super strength in action, he figured to might as well believe it in this case if everyone was turning to this guy now next to him.

Meanwhile Reno stood in the corner of the elevator.Hating his life.

Why was he even on this thing? He hated elevators.None of this made sense.

"Just try it out so we can get outta here."

[identity profile] firsttsurugi.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Good lord. It was Reno. Anybody but Reno.

How did Cloud not notice him before? He only offers one quick glance before he looks away again, keeping to himself. Maybe he won't recognize him. That'd be nice if the TEXT BOX DIDN'T GIVE AWAY HIS NAME!

[identity profile] weeabot.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Spanner glanced at Moonbay, a cursory nod following it before he turned back to the tiny robot in his hands. Unfortunately he was a bit irritated and out-of-sorts with the noise and the press of bodies, so it wasn't long before he made a misstep... and the robot began to let off smoke and a few stray sparks.

"...oh."

[identity profile] herwaltz.livejournal.com 2010-05-27 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
One of those stray sparks flies over near Moonbay, grabbing her attention. Her gaze goes to the tiny robot, expression changing to one of curiosity.

"Oh?"
