[ Anyone near the kitchen might notice Duke in there. At first he's just walking about, a little awkwardly, perhaps, taking turns and just mentally mapping where everything is. He pauses occasionally, hearing the sound of one of those magic fairies, but since he can't figure out what it is, it's ignored.

After that he's going to start cooking, and if knives near fingers make you nervous, don't watch him. Although he's doing fairly well at not nicking his fingers as he starts working on making something involving eggs.

Not doing so well at keeping his fingers free of egg, so there might be a tiny bit of that dripped on the page before the sounds of stirring and him finding things comes through the journal. ]

... If it was not this warm inside the castle.. what would you have done to keep yourself warm? [ He probably would have just become a mass of blankets and tried to sleep through winter, because there's no desert for him to wander off to, but shush. Chop chop chop - silence. ]

((OOC: Feel free to come in and ask him to make an omelet for you too, or take advantage of the fact his hands are a bit busy for kissing! I promise no stabbing will happen. 8D))

... Kritya are pacifists, and monsterkind does not trouble those who do not act fearful or aggressive quite as often as many humans believe. And the Entelexeia are not as close to giant monsters as many think.

.... Shades? I have not encountered such things. Similar to ghosts? Of things such as poltergeists, anchorgeists, and hysteric purples? [ The monsters are named strange things, shh. ]

Omelet. Egg, milk, some other things. I usually add onion; depends on what else is available for everything else. [ ... His hand stings... And since Felix has the knife, Duke decides that healing his hand would be a good idea at this time. ]

.. kinds of ghosts. Anchorgeists tend to inhabit locations involving ships, poltergeists anywhere where there has been death. Hysteric Purple, as far as I am aware, are only found in one location, and that.. should have fallen... or it is frozen in the process of falling...

I don't know what they look like, but they stay in places where it's dark. They're even inside of my manor...
