[today was the day that Dextera was going to put hishorrible knowledge of cooking to use. to be honest, he was a little nervous but that's why he felt lucky he had help. there was more of a chance that everything would turn out okay.

[Felix leans over the counter to peer at the cook book he'd borrowed from the library, scanning the page with the finger of his left hand. His right arm is still in a sling thanks to the expedition, which meant most of the actual work was up to Dexera.]
You have to measure out and mix all these powders. Here. [He hands Dextera a measuring cup]

so he'll start measuring them out first, slowly. Dextera learned the hard way not to rush things but that doesn't mean he won't put too much in at some point.]

Whoa whoa whoa...that's fine. [He stills Dextera's hand with his own]
Here...add these now. [He pushes the baking powder and baking soda closer, then hands Dexera a teaspoon instead] This is the easy part.
