[The bad thing about fighting a firebender without a ready source of water is that the flames eat what she has to fight with. She can't pull it back from the dirt; it's evaporated, and Katara can't leech enough water from the air to stand a fighting chance with it.

She has to be conservative.]


What did it do with them?

[She throws a wave of water down to counter the fire, lunging to the side at the same time -- away from the pond. In the same sort of motion, she flings a small rain of tiny ice needles his way.]
