Holy shit! [Adachi exclaims in a voice that somehow still managed to be hushed before jumping and stumbling backwards right on his ass.

He scrambles back to his feet and looks behind him, instinctively reaching under his jacket for his gun- OH WAIT RIGHT HE DOESN'T HAVE ONE ANYMORE GODDAMNIT. Still he goes into defense anyway.]
