[Neal has had a very long week and a half. Not that there hasn't been a part of him that thought being a pirate was very, very cool, but it was also very, very tiring, and all he wants to do is go back to his room and go to bed.
He THINKS that the security he had would be enough. He THINKS that even though the rest of the castle is in shambles, he might be okay.
His door torn off his hinges? That's a problem. All the tiredness fades away, and he's rushing for the door, making his way inside only to find ... it's gone. All of it is gone. All of the art that he was working on, the canvas was torn, sculpture broken.]
No. Nononono.
[and with that, he's going to sink down against his doorframe and try to remember how to breathe. It's just art. It's just art.
It's never just art.]
