[ He kept to himself when the baby thing cropped up; plenty enough people were going on about it, plenty of kids were getting hold of journals, and it wasn't at all hard to find out that it wouldn't be a permanent deal. No need to get all riled up about it.

At least his had come too young to understand that it's not so wonderful to stay in one room for a full week. As it is, Jet's definitely in favor of getting his ass out of the room today. He's not too hard to run into- lobby, library, Death Match (one of those places you can't not go back to, what can he say?). In other words, open like a door off the hinges (though he is keeping a particular eye open for one Radical Edward- it's really been a while). He'll even offer up sagely advice for the masses later on. It's almost trying to be helpful and not sulky. ]
You get used to that kind of stunt, sooner or later.
Not a lot of [ people ] things are designed to stick around. Gotta take the evidence where you can. [ Maybe that was the whole point. ]
