[the good news, is that Zuko has figured out how to use the stove in the kitchen, and so is not in danger of starving any time soon. ...The bad news, is that he's having a hard time figuring out how to make a meal that won't involve gross candy as an unwanted ingredient. How all the rice and noodles have become infected with the little heart-shaped things, he can't understand.]

[he opens a package of ramen, sure it must be clear... but then there is an annoyed sound as several pieces of candy clatter to the counter]

Ugh... [picking one up to look at it. Ew, this one is black. Who makes black candy? It gets thrown over his shoulder] ...I don't get it.

[pretty damn sure she misheard, so she slowly turns towards you to look at the piece of candy and. Slowly turns red. While accidentally closing the fridge door on her hand.]

N-nothing. [minutely examines her not-at-all-injured hand, and then opens up the fridge again. Lalala, pretending to be engrossed in finding the perfect microwavable dinner.]

[girls are so weird. He drops the candy on the counter, and goes back to trying to pick the rest of them out of the ramen noodles. He has to crack the brick of noodles apart a little, as the candies are somehow even trapped inside]

Finally grabs a box at random and heads over the microwave.]

[takes out the plastic tray and carefully peels back a bit of the plastic film, revealing neatly compartmentalized (and frozen) candy hearts.

Staring at it in disgust.] This stuff doesn't even taste that great.

[peeks over at that disappointing mess. And then goes back to his finally, blissfully candy-heart-free food. His hard work has finally paid off, and he drops the broken-up blocks of candiless ramen into the water. Jealous yet, Natsuki?]

[dammit. Tosses the entire mess into the trash a little more forcefully than she should. Why is it so hard just to get something to eat?
