[there is a very strange sort of dinner party being held in Lucy's head.
The setting is a comfortable sitting room, the one Lucy had shared with Harold Saxon in London, warmly decorated for Christmas. Saxon himself is seated on one side of the fireplace, the Fifth Doctor across from him, deep in the kind of conversation that only the oldest and best of enemies can hold. Adam Monroe, Inara Serra, and Peter Petrelli are sitting around the dinner table, Adam and Peter playing a game of chess while Inara watches. Peter Carlisle is discussing the crime novel genre with Mort Rainey. Emerson Jayne is standing alone but perusing a bookshelf with interest. And best of all, her two older brothers are sharing drinks with their father on the sofa, all three of them alive and well and happy.
Lucy sits in the middle of it all and feels a contentment she hasn't experienced in years, both at home and in Paradisa]
