[Jarlaxle is tucked into a corner in the library, a large book on his lap, murmuring out loud to himself. His journal, without his knowledge, is happily recording away as he speaks.]
I suppose I understand now where this Christmas thing comes from. [The sound of a page turning can be heard.] How can I best...?
[He turns and happens to notice the book there. Might as well ask, since it's already open. Jarlaxle speaks a little louder.]
What is the point of celebrating the birth of a dead man in such a way? You humans, this is something of your invention, is it not? It seems more similar to a solstice celebration to me than to a religious ritual.
