[Xena’s sitting in her room and looking through the journal, keeping track of what was going on in the castle. At least that’s what she’s trying to do; her patience is wearing thin.
Normally, crickets didn’t bother her. She’d spent enough time living on the road and sleeping outside that it was easy to dismiss the noise into the background. But the relative silence of her castle room seemed to amplify the sound-it was one thing to hear a chorus of insects, it was another to hear just one. And a particularly obnoxious one, at that.
This is ridiculous. Don’t they have any hungry spiders around here? She’s *this* close to getting up and seeking the damn thing out.]
