011 Locks Picked
[After one and a half weeks being human, someone is very happy to be back to their nimble-fingered self. To celebrate, Tas decided to devote himself to re-exploring the castle… and no place is sacred. Kitchen cabinets, lockers, rooms. There’s no telling what might have changed since the last time he went wandering. So, horn-rimmed glasses on his nose (having relocated them in one of his pouches), he’s making his rounds. He wasn’t really intending on intruding… just taking a peek… but with all the interesting people around here it was only a matter of time before something in the rooms caught his attention.]
[Room 607 just happens to be one of those rooms. The trap on the door catches his eye just before he triggers it. Careful hands dismantle it, laying the pieces out neatly in case the owner wants to put it all back together again, but now it begs the question. What’s in here that’s worth booby trapping? And there must be something because, wandering further in, everything has a trap. The closet. The drawers. And Tas, intrigued, systematically makes his way around, disabling any he finds…forgetting that this might be a little upsetting to the trap-setter.
He’s working on a particularly difficult, spring loaded setup in one of the desk drawers when his foot slides just a bit to the side, off of one tile and onto the next. Click–and Tas freezes, waiting for the fallout. Only nothing happens. Frowning, he steps off the tile, and then back on. Step, click, silence. So… maybe… it wasn’t a trap at all. Perhaps this trigger was for something else? Like a hidden door. He was sure he’d seen the gnomes make things like that, and wouldn’t that be amazing to find!
Forgetting the drawer, he moves away to go to the walls, running fingers lightly over the stones in search of any new openings.
Ten feet from the tile. Twenty. Twenty five…]
[And, suddenly, the 6th floor hallways is rocked by an explosion, smoke billowing out from Reno’s door. There’s a crash as something falls… and silence. Do you dare to investigate?]

[straightening the glasses that were knocked off kilter by the explosion, he slowly picks himself up, dusting debris from his vest]

He's ducking out of Reno's grasp, hands up] I just took a peek. Honest.
[he's realizing it might be in his best interest to get out of there now, which is why he's carefully trying to edge his way past Reno]

It's a real problem around here, actually. You'd be amazed at how bad the locks are for most of these rooms.

Now get out of my room before I throw you out the window!

[a sigh as he edges towards the door. Being thrown out a window might be an interesting experience, but he's pretty sure the landing would be unpleasant from six stories up]
You don't have to be so angry about it. I'm going.

Good! And you got my room blown up, so I feel a right to be angry!

[but he's on his way now, stepping out into the hall.]
[oh... and that fire? As he steps out of the room, anything that should have been burning but wasn't suddenly ignites]
no subject
[And when that happens he lets out a surprised shout] Fuck!
[And yeah time to go try to fix that sdjklfdskfds]

Normally he'd offer to help, but he's pretty sure Reno would just get more mad. So he's going to go outside and get distracted by anyone who comes wandering by to investigate]
