[the temporal manipulation unit captures Amy mid-gawp, as Rory. Just shot. LASER BOLTS. Out of his hand. It's the first good look she's had of his gun in action and it's bizarre as hell. And she doesn't even have time to find it sexy that he's gone all macho, because she's too scared.

Then time jumps back to normal and the Meta is RIGHT THERE. Amy shrieks again]
