[an oily thumbprint appears on the corner of the page as she pulls it close. She tries to wipe it away, but only succeeds in smearing it before she gives up]
Not that I’m in all that trustin’ a mood, when it comes to the castle, but if this’s open I guess I’ve got a question.
Lot of you folks’ve been around here longer’n me. Is this just what you expect? World goes transformin’ itself and then the monsters come pourin’ in? ‘Cause after two of these… three if you count them raptors on that rollercoaster… I’m figurin’ stayin’ in one place is good enough for me. Least until we find a way to get back home, proper-like.

Hey there! We ain’t had a chance to talk yet, but your name does come up an awful lot, lately. I saw your recruitin'...but I figured a proper introduction might be better, t'start. I’m Kaylee. This fella, Yuan, was thinkin’ that maybe you an’ I could work together t’figure some security out for them outposts. Don’t know if you need a hand, but I’d be more’n happy to join in.
Also, I’ve got a bit of a project I’ve been workin’ on, just by my own self. I’ve wished up most of the parts, no worries, but there’s a couple the castle just don’t see fit t’give me. York said you might be the man t’talk to, iffn I was needin’ some pieces made from scratch?
