[there's a loud but strangled sort of gasp, as Barney opens his eyes. coming back to life after being a ghost for two weeks is more than a mindfuck, it's a mind-orgy. with a bunch of really old, really un-cool swingers who are all convinced that they are perpetually hip and awesome.
he sits up, and slowly catches his breath. it still feels like one big, long, alcohol-fueled nightmare, even though he's had plenty of time to realize that he couldn't have been more wrong. when he speaks, his voice is hoarse, and he feels like his mouth was stuffed with cotton]
