[He was fairly certain he wasn't going to get much useful information. In fact, he was relying on it; He really didn't want Angelique to get her powers back. However, it wouldn't hurt to see what the other castle residents knew and a visible attempt to gather information would assure Angelique of his good intentions.]

I gather that many of you have been here for quite sometime. Have any of you made any progress looking into the nature of the castle's magic? Or, more specifically, how to regain that which it has taken from us?

[He pauses. Should he do this? It wasn't necessarily a good idea to provoke someone who has proven herself dangerous and he was quite certain that hearing from him would not please her... In the end, his curiosity proves to be stronger than his caution.]

I thought you might be more amenable to conversation through a medium in which you can't attack me. 

You seem to have encountered a great deal of vampires. I would be most interested in hearing any information you would share with me.
